In 2007, we joined the Devon & Cornwall Housing Group which manages 17,000 properties throughout Devon and Cornwall.
A non-profit making organisation, Tor Homes is a registered charity (number 1074610). The company is the largest provider of affordable housing in South Devon with over 3000 properties, mainly in the rural district of the South Hams, with some properties in East Devon, Exeter, Plymouth, Teignbridge and Torbay.
We offer a variety of housing, including affordable rented flats and houses, shared ownership properties and sheltered bungalows and flats for the elderly and disabled. The rest of our housing stock is a mixture of apartments, flats and houses. We also manage some leasehold properties.
We develop around 100 new affordable homes per year.
Our day to day work is managed by 163 full and part time staff, and our work as a social landlord is currently directed by 12 unpaid Board members, drawn from the local community.
