Anna Read has been recognised as the Business Student of the year by Exeter College. She received her award from Rob Taylor, Deputy Principal of Exeter College at a prestigious Higher Education Awards ceremony at the Thistle Hotel, Exeter. Anna is the Assistant to Howard Toplis, Chief Executive at Tor Homes. She has just gained her Higher National Certificate in Business after finishing her studies at Exeter College.

The course was two years work accelerated into one year and covered 10 different units.

Anna’s tutor, Jane Hepworth from Exeter College, nominated her for the award and said: “Anna was one of the most exemplary students to ever take the award.”

“Her level of motivation and commitment was outstanding and she produced work that went well beyond the highest recognition we can give.“

Anna is bowled over by the award. “To win this award is really special”, she said.” I really do have to say thanks to Tor Homes for investing in my training and thanks to the wonderful encouragement and support from my tutors at Exeter College. I’ve learnt so much from my studies. “

Anna is carrying on studying towards a Higher National Diploma in Business Management.
