Our sheltered housing schemes

We have 18 sheltered housing schemes spread throughout the South Hams comprising self contained bungalows or flats. Each property has bedroom(s), bathroom, lounge and kitchen. Many of the schemes have communal lounges, laundry facilities, lifts, disabled bathing or showering facilities, guest rooms and door entry systems. All properties have smoke detectors, with fire alarm systems in the larger flatted schemes.

Communal facilities

We have seven large sheltered housing schemes. These schemes have a number of communal facilities including gardens, scheme kitchens, communal lounges, guest rooms, laundry, fire alarm system, door entry systems, lift, assisted bathing facilities etc.

The Scheme Co-ordinator will also explain any security arrangements and advise on any other precautions necessary in the interests of health & safety. Door entry systems are provided to keep out unwelcome visitors.

Guest rooms and suites

Our larger schemes have facilities for guests to stay for short periods of time. These facilities are let on a first come first served basis, with no bookings taken more than a month in advance.

The charges for these facilities vary and are based on a room only, per person per night basis.
